First outing of 2009 for Athen's Abercadabra

and continued success for both of our four yr old stallions.

Athen's Abercadabra competed in his first dressage competition for 2009. His maturity, temperament and good manners shone through as he warmed up for his test. The judge Sue Thompson commented on how 'straight and positive' he was as he entered the arena and how throughout the test he maintained good rhythm and shape. Her final comments were 'a lovely test showing real promise! Well done'. His score was and impressive 68.18% which put him in second place.

Athen's Mumbo Jumbo was a delight both in the warm up arena and as he entered the main arena for his test. Although he was still a little vocal his concentration and attitude impressed us all. We were thrilled to recieve scores of 7's and 8's as this was only his second dressage competition. Comments from Sue Thompson included ' a lovely horse' and ' showing real promise'. An improvement from his last test saw a percentage of 64.78% and resulted in a blue rosette for second place.

Crown's Wonder Pearl really did all at Brackenspa proud. From the moment he was lead off the lorry to the moment he was reloaded his maturity exceeded his years. Sue Thompson awarded him a mixture of 7's and 8's and congratulated him on 'a really super test' and felt that he has 'bags of promise for the future'. His consistencey and attitude throughout the test was reflected in his score of 69.57% which yet again saw him awarded first place.
